Smooth Operator

This is moving quite quickly. Just like that 4th year humanities student who accosted me when I came back from Japan. Bloody hell, I didn't where I was. Kinda scary too.

I've paid my booking deposit, I've spoken to a surveyor and he hopefully will look it over on Friday, Monday latest. If he gives it the ok, then...I'm good to go.
And apparently the owner is ready to move Friday week! So, could I have keys in the 1st/2nd week of nov? Who knows. Have to dig out the Argos catalogue and ballpark furnishings. Need to start by making a list of what exists in each room. Like who thinks about toilet brushes except at times like this?

And I should tell landlord bloke that I may be moving out, and sort out how to move. A fleet of small cars perhaps. And get the tv fixed!

I have access to a small car that can be made available. Although you have a lot of stuff and I don't think that one seicento will be enough!!!

if you have a date to move make sure that any essentials you need arrive about the same time, no point in having a TV but no couch to watch it from, or to move with no bed to sleep in.

I imagine there will be an exchange of beer for moving services????

If there is beer on offer for moving services then a 206 may be available also. I might be able to wangle something bigger depending on when needed of course.

Can I volunteer Darn simply on the grounds that it is already assumed that he won't turn up and if he does he will make a grand boll*x of it all?

Just to get it out of the way and have everyone unimpressed at the same level well in advance ...

I would love to help Dan, but you are inside the exclusion zone. You could always get Dick to lend a trailer ...

Mike, why do you barter for beer? Seriously, do you want to be known as Barney Gumble PhD for the rest of your days?

Thanks for the offers. I have a good bit of stuff, but it can all fit in a small car bar the shelves. And those I can almost carry myself walking.

Is that a recent picture Danny? Looks like that incident with "The Car" left you with a fine pair of deer in the headlights eyes ...

Instead of trading them away to Barney Gumble in exchange for f*ck all in my book (it isn't even his car!!), have a beer to yourself and relax.

Have a good weekend, I won't be polluting the blogosphere next week as I will be on the road with uniroyal. Catch you after the excessive drinking weekend.
